The rapid evolution of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) signals a fundamental ontological and cognitive transformation, shifting technology from a passive external instrument into an active, physically and cognitively embedded "sensory mediator." Redesigning Senses: Perception and Cognition in the AGI Era by Suh Jun-ho opens with a deliberately concrete comparison. Production designer Bae Jung-yoon raises the exile quarters of the deposed Joseon king Danjong and the entire village of Gwangcheon-gol from plywood, plaster, and paint on a bare riverbank in Yeongwol for the film Wanggwa Saneun Namja (The Man Who Lives with the King), then dismantles the set and returns the riverbank to a riverbank; Arte Museum manufactures waves without water; Christopher Nolan and Hans Zimmer compress a day on Earth into a 1.25-second ticking sound on Miller's planet in Interstellar.
